of chapter 40A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, in subsection (b), in line 18, after the words “chapter 23A” the following:- “; provided, however, that under no circumstances shall any city or town’s eligibility for public safety related grant funding, including but not limited to the Firefighter Safety Equipment Grant program, be contingent upon that city or town’s compliance with this section”
