Any reduction in the percentage of a governmental unitβs contributions to health premiums for retired employees made after January 1, 2025 shall not apply to individuals that retire before the change in contribution percentage takes effect.
βΈSECTION 20
Notwithstanding chapter 32A or 32B of the General Laws, for retired public employees that are over the age of 65 and not eligible for the federal Medicare program, the maximum amount of out-of-pocket costs for covered services under a group health insurance plan under chapter 32A or 32B during an enrollment year shall not exceed $2,500 for individual coverage and $5,000 for family coverage.

Sections 1-3 of this act shall take effect on July 1, 2025.

Sections 4-6 of this act shall take effect on July 1, 2026.
