Chapter 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after Section 15TTTTT, the following section:
UUUU. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the month of October as Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, to increase public awareness and encourage the adoption of shelter and rescue dogs in Massachusetts, and recommend that the day be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.
Chapter 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after Section 15TTTTT, the following section: Section 15UUUUU.
