Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the highway division of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall shall erect and maintain a suitable marker on Route 3N and Route 3S designating the Town of Marshfield as the home of Senator Daniel Webster and Governor Edward Winslow. Said marker shall be in compliance with the standards of said department.
Whereas, the deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
SECTION 1.
