Chapter 90 Section 2, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 466 through 469, inclusive, the sentence: “There shall be an annual $20 fee for such "VETERAN'' plates in addition to the established registration fee for private passenger motor vehicles and motorcycles.” and inserting in place thereof the following:- “The fee for such “VETERAN” plates shall be the established registration fee for private passenger motor vehicles and motorcycles.”
Notwithstanding any other general or special law, or regulation to the contrary, the fee for the issuance or renewal of distinctive motor vehicle registration plates bearing the word “VETERAN” under the fifteenth paragraph of section 2 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as amended by section 1 of this act, shall not be increased by any additional registration or special fees.
This act shall take effect 270 days after its passage.
