Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, there shall not be a preliminary election in the city of Revere, as otherwise required, on September 16, 2025 for the office of school committee for a 2-year term or for the office of city council for a 2-year term. The candidates for those offices whose nomination papers have been duly certified shall be deemed to have been nominated and their names shall appear on the general election ballot.
This act shall take effect upon its passage.
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, there shall not be a preliminary election in the city of Revere, as otherwise required, on September 16, 2025 for the office of school committee for a 2-year term or for the office of city council for a 2-year term.
