Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation or orders to the contrary, the Massachusetts Teachers Retirement System shall credit Ann Marie O'Keeffe with 32 years of credible service as a professional status teacher and confirm her eligibility for the superannuation of her pension under the program established in Section 5 of Chapter 32 of the Massachusetts General Laws as appearing in the 2022 edition. Before the date that any Teachers Alternate Retirement Program or superannuation allowance affects her pension benefit, she shall make contributions to the Massachusetts Teachers Retirement System, in lump sum or installments, in accordance with the terms and conditions established under Chapter 32 of the Massachusetts General Laws as appearing in the 2022 edition to fully qualify for the same RetirementPlus benefits as outlined by said chapter. Neither any order of the courts of the Commonwealth, nor any administrative hearing shall delay this retirement process with RetirementPlus to become effective on December 31 of 2025; nor prevent Ann Marie O'Keeffe alone from qualifying for the superannuation / TARP of her pension benefit. This TARP pension benefit shall be paid to the teacher retiree monthly with an initial payment date of January 1st of 2025.”
This act shall take effect upon its passage.
SECTION 1.
